The Sacramento Region Diversity Career Fair includes an in-person panel discussion. The panel discussion will be held at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento on September 26, 2026 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am before the career fair table component begins, and is open to law students, attorneys, judges, and employers to attend, including those who are not participating in the career fair table component or interview components.
In 2025, the panel program presented "Your Brand of Advocacy" featuring U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit Judge Consuelo M. Callahan, Kelley M. Lincoln of Boutin Jones, and Vida Thomas of Oppenheimer Investigations Group LLP.
In 2024, the panel program addressed "The Power of Mentorship" with United States Magistrate Judge Allison Claire (E.D. Cal.), Sacramento Superior Court Judge Jerome Price, and Stoel Rives Managing Partner Melissa Jones.
In 2023, the panel program focused on paths to leadership and featured U.S. District Judge Daniel Calabretta (E.D. Cal.), California Court of Appeal Associate Justice Elena Duarte, now Sacramento Superior Court Presiding Judge Bunmi Awoniyi, and Circuit Executive for the U.S. Courts for the Ninth Circuit Susan Soong.
In 2022, the panel program featured U.S. District Judge Troy Nunley (E.D. Cal.), now California Court of Appeal Associate Justice Shama Mesiwala, practicing attorney Lexi Howard, and practicing attorney Laura Neacato.
The Diversity Career Fair program is open to all law students, attorneys, and judges, and is not limited to those submitting application materials or recruiting.
